Most wedding dresses and wedding items sold on eBay were being sold last week and will also be for sale ongoing. Start shopping early and TAKE YOUR TIME. There's no need to buy something the first time you log in because you think you won't find it again. You will. When shopping on Ebay for wedding dresses or supplies, once you know how to find what you're looking for, you can then watch some auctions to see what things sell for. Click the Watching button to find out how this can be a winning technique. Research and patience are the key in Ebay Wedding Shopping. EBay has a pretty powerful search tool, and any successful shopper should know how to use the features of that tool to find what they are looking for.
Shopping on E-bay (or other auction sites, give them a chance) can save a lot of money. It's also a lot of fun! But to really kick butt, you should know what you're doing... Here are the basic rules of shopping on E-Bay: 1 - Check the sellers rating! Evaluate the seller before you place a bid. Look at the sellers other auctions 2 - Watch out for sellers saying things like, “I don’t know how to start it, but I’m sure it works”. Playing dumb is a good way to sell things that aren’t fully functional. 3 - See what other bidders say about the seller by carefully reading the seller's feedback. Wedding dresses are a big investment. 4 - Search the seller's completed transactions. Has the seller sold multiples of this item? Don't get into a high priced bidding war if the seller will list the same dress next week. 5 - Go to the sellers Ebay wedding dress website if they have one. You might find it to be very professional or very amature. This can steer your choice whether or not to buy from this party. 6 - Include a copy of the seller's E-mail with your payment. This will assure that the seller can easily find out who you are when they get your payment. Some Ebay wedding dress vendors do a lot of business and loosing your contact info will delay your order 7 - If you can, pay for the auction with a credit card. This is a much safer method of doing business and you can better dispute the charge then with a check. 8 - When you send a check, be sure and write the item description and auction reference number in the memo. This will help the seller identify who you are, and also help you identify what you bought next tax season. 9 - After you've won the auction, print out a copy of the auction page and keep it until the item arrives. 10 - Save a copy of the picture of the item on your hard drive to do this, right click on the image and select "Save As". This way, when the item arrives you can compare and make sure you got what you paid for. 11 - Promptly communicate back to the seller and tell him that you are sending a check. READ YOUR EMAILS! If you do not respond to the seller and just send a check, the seller may think you are a flake and put the item back in auction. We are always surprised how many people delete emails, in paranoia of spam, while they are also conducting transactions over the internet. DON’T DO THIS. Look at each email before you delete it. 12 - When the items arrives, inspect it right away. If there is a problem, notify the seller. Do not start a fight or rush right to E-bay and leave negative feedback on the seller. Act professional and give the seller a chance to remedy the problem. 13 - Use an escrow service for high-ticket items. Be sure and establish who will pay for before you bid. E-bay has links and explanations for escrow services. 14 - Summer is the slow time for E-bay selling, so you can usually get better prices during the summer. 15 - You can get better deals (if you don’t mind staying up all night) by looking for items that close in the middle of the night, and being the last bidder. 16 - If
you don’t want to sit in front of the computer all night, waiting to place
the last bid, there is a service that will do it for you very cheaply…
highly recommend it if you’re buying lots of items on E-bay:
