Hawaii! An island paradise, and one of the most romantic places on
Earth. What a picturesque place to have a wedding! You can marry on a
pristene beach, high atop a volcanic mountain, beside a cascading waterfall,
or on a boat sailing off into the sunset.
You can arrange an island style wedding, complete with hula dancers, ancient
Polynesian prayers, and fragrant leis, a traditional ceremony, or one that
combines Hawaiian customs with your own spiritual traditions.
In Hawaii, almost anything is possible. And there is something for anyone.
Outdoor weddings can be breathtaking in their beauty, and are quite
inexpensive. But you have to remember to avoid the rainy season! October
through January are considered Hawaii's "winter" season. Rain ranging from
brief, sudden or light showers to winter thunderstorms lasting a few days
can occur during these months. If you have your heart set on a wedding in
one of these months, it is best to plan it indoors.
The islands are also a great place to honeymoon, for those who love fishing,
surfing, snorkeling, and laying out on the beach. There are numerous quality
hotels which provide excellent entertainment as well.
Below you will find a list of requirements for marrying in Hawaii, and
several good websites that can help you plan everything down to the tiniest
detail.
