In our life there is a single color, as on an artist’s palette, which
provides the meaning of life and art. It is the color of love.
Do you love me or do you not? You
told me once, but i forgot.
So tell me now and tell me true, so i can tell you.... I Love You.
Of all the girls I've ever met, You are the one i won't forget.
And if i die before you do, I'll go to heaven and wait for you.
If your not there by judgement day, I'll know you went the other way.
I'll give the angels back their wings, and risk the loss of everything.
Bitterness imprisons life; love releases it.
Bitterness paralyzes life; love empowers it.
Bitterness sours life; love sweetens it.
Bitterness sickens life; love heals it.
Bitterness blinds life; love anoints its eyes.
Since love is the most delicate and total act of a soul, it will reflect
the state and nature of the soul. If the individual is not sensitive,
how can hi love be sentient? If he is not profound, how can his love be
deep? As one is, so is his love.
The truth is that there is only one terminal dignity-love. And the story
of a love is not important-what is important is that one is capable of
love. It is perhaps the only glimpse we are permitted of eternity.
Love is immortality.
Love doesn’t just sit there, like a stone; it has to be made, like
bread, remade all the time, made new.
You will reciprocally promise love, loyalty, and matrimonial honesty. We
only want for you this day that these words constitute the principle of
your entire life; that with the help of divine grace you will observe
these solemn vows that today, before God, you formulate.
Hail wedded love, mysterious law, true source of all humanity.
The web of marriage is made by propinquity, in the day-to-day living
side by side,
Looking outward and working outward in the same direction. It is woven
in space and in time of substance of life itself.
This is one of the miracles of love; It gives … a power of seeing
through its own enchantments and yet not being disenchanted.
There is no surprise more magical than the surprise of being loved: I am
God’s finger on man’s shoulder.
Love is that splendid triggering of human vitality … the supreme
activity which nature affords anyone for going out of himself toward
someone else.
Love vanquishes time. To lover, a moment can be eternity, and eternity
can be the tick of clock.
Love is not weakness. It is strong. Only the sacrament of marriage can
contain it.
I would like to have engraved inside every wedding band: Be kind to one
another. This the golden rule of marriage and the secret of making love
last through the years.
Love does not consist of gazing at each other, but in looking outward
together in the same direction.
Loving can cost a lot, but not loving always costs more, and those who
fear to love often find that want of love is an emptiness that robs the
joy from life.
To love is to place our happiness in the happiness in the happiness of
another.
The hour …
When the wedding march sounds the sounds the resolute approach, the
clock no longer ticks, it tolls the hour… The figures in the aisle are
no longer individuals. They symbolize the human race.
My greatest good fortune in life of brilliant experiences has been to
find you, and to lead my life with you. I don’t feel far away from you
out here at all. I feel very near in my heart; and also I feel very near
in my heart, and also I feel that the nearer I get to honor, the nearer
I am to you.
Marriage is not a union merely between two spirits; and the intention of
that bond is to perfect the nature of both.
Love, indeed, lends a precious seeing to the eye, and hearing to the
ear; and hearing to the ear: the light of its presence glorifies all
sights and sounds.
When you love someone, you love the whole person, just as he or she is,
and not as you would like him or her to be.
Your embraces alone give to my heart.
For those who time is eternity.
When the one man loves the one woman loves the one man, the very angels
desert heaven and sit in that house and sing for joy.
And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I
will make him a help mate for him. And out of the ground, the Lord God
formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought
them unto Adam to see what we would call them: and whatsoever Adam
called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And Adam gave
names to all the cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast
of the field; but for Adam there was not found a helpmate for him. And
the lord caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he
took one of his rib, which the lord had taken from the man, made he a
woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said. This is now bone of
my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she
was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his
mother, and shall unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
The moral man will find the moral law beginning in the relation between
husband and wife, but ending only in the vast reaches of the universe.
He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.
Love is patient; love is kind and envies no one. Love is never boastful,
nor conceited, nor rude; never selfish, not quick to that offense. Love
keeps no score of wrongs; does not gloat over other men ‘s sins, but
delights in the truth. There is nothing love cannot face; the truth.
There is nothing love cannot face; there is no limit to its faith, its
hope, and its endurance.
When two people are at one in their inmost hearts, they shatter even the
strength of iron or of bronze. Who made groom rejoice with the bride.
My beloved spake, said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come
away.
Sweet be the glances we exchange, our faces showing true concord.
Enshrine me in thy heart, and let a single spirit dwell within us. |
